So this is interesting as well.
I’ve been sniffing through Windows 10 and looking at Build 10036.
It seems like Windows 10 will be the most nosy and inquisitive version of the Windows Operating System ever.
In addition to understanding your voice, Windows 10 will also try and understand your handwriting patterns.
The setting is located in Settings >> Privacy>>Speech, Inking & Typing.
In the Get to know me section, there’s the following verbage:
Your PC and Cortana can get to know your voice and handwriting and make better suggestions for you. We’ll collect info like contacts, speech and handwriting patterns and typing history.
Once again, just like I said in my other Windows 10 article about cloud protection in Windows Defender, the devil is indeed in the details.
It does seem like Windows 10 has the potential to collect a lot of information about you and your PC and take it away into the cloud.
This obviously has some serious security implications and will be litigated at a future point.
The larger point here is, Windows 10 is the most personal version of Microsoft Windows to date.
What do you think of Windows 10 learning about your contacts, handwriting and speech patterns?
