Welcome to our series of Microsoft Windows 10 tutorials that help you understand the features of this new operating system by Microsoft.
This tutorial will show you how to turn on or off system protection in Windows 10.
System protection is a feature that regularly creates and saves your computers systems files and settings as restore points. These restore points are used by System Restore feature to restore your computer back to that state.
System restore points are created before any significant event like installation of programs or windows updates or you can create them manually any time. By default system protection will create restore points every 7 days if no restore point was created during that period.[su_note]Note: You must be signed in as an administrator to be able to perform a system restore.[/su_note]
