Minecraft Story Mode Hits Microsoft Store

Minecraft is no longer just a sandbox game, as the recent Story Mode crafts a proper adventure tale.

Story Modes chapters arrived first on Xbox One and other formats, but are now coming to the Microsoft Store.

The Telltale Games production, from the team behind The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and other episodic games, is a massive hit.

With the arrival of episode 4 on Xbox One, the first chapter, rated E10, is now available in the Windows 10 Store for $4.99. Enjoy the trailer for the first episode.

The Minecraft Story

Now Microsoft owns Mojang, the developer of Minecraft, the series and its off-shoot games can expect greater prominence within Windows 10.

The series has already been available on PC through Steam, but a spot on the Microsoft Store’s front page should help increase its appeal to more casual gamers.

There’s one more episode to go before the first story is complete, but we’re pretty sure that a second season will happen.

Episode 1: The Order of the Stone you play as either a male or female hero named ‘Jesse,’ taking a perilous adventure across the Overworld, meeting new friends and old enemies.

They soon discover that something is wrong… something dreadful. Terror is unleashed, and players must set out to find The Order of the Stone to save the world from oblivion.

Hopefully future episodes will appear quickly and any further adventures will appear in step with other platforms on the Store.
