The developer of the official Plex app is one of the few companies that truly stand behind Microsoft’s Windows 10 platform, and the application itself has picked up a new update now.
One that makes it work on Windows 10 Mobile, as well as support the Continuum feature.
Oh, and Cortana has made the cut too.
The added Cortana functionality basically brings voice control to the app, while Continuum allows Windows 10 Mobile users to have the full experience when connecting it to a larger monitor or a television — very much essential for a multimedia app of this sort.
In case you did not know what the Plex app does, here is the official description:
“Plex organizes all of your video, music, and photo collections, and gives you instant access to them on all of your devices. With the free Plex Media Server software on your home computer and Plex for Windows, you can enjoy all of your personal media on your Windows device and easily share it with friends and family. Plex also makes your media look beautiful with rich descriptions, artwork, and other related information.
With an optional premium Plex Pass subscription, you can even sync videos, music, and photos to your smartphones and tablets to enjoy while offline. Parental controls, premium music features, music videos, trailers and extras, and powerful management tools are also part of our premium offering.”
Plex is one of the best media servers, media center, media management tools, what have you, around, and it is good to see it being supported so well on these modern Windows platforms.
Both in terms of compatibility and feature sets.
