Windows 10 Mobile Build 15031 Hits The Fast Ring

Microsoft released the same build for PCs yesterday, and now the company has followed it up with Windows 10 Mobile build 15031 for smartphones that are enrolled in the Fast ring of the program.

Not too many features in the preview version for computers, though.

And nothing major of note here, either.

There is only one front-facing feature that Redmond has unveiled, and it is a pretty minor one. In fact, about as small as it gets these days — this single, solitary, Share icon. It primarily concerns the apps that used the share font glyph to denote the sharing feature.

Take a look at it below:

The software titan also provides more details about this here.

In case you are worried that new features are no longer coming to Windows 10 Mobile, Dona Sarkar very recently clarified that Redmond plans to introduce new options in the mobile operating system once the time is right.

They are facing some stability issues right now, on mobile. As a matter of pure fact, it was another bug that prevented the launch of the build 15031 for mobile alongside its arrival on PCs yesterday.

But, major Continuum improvements are in the pipeline for Windows 10 Mobile, along with new options like Night Light, which is currently being tested on computers.

It’s a matter of time, as the saying goes.

If you are on the Fast ring, you can grab build 15031 by going to Settings > Update & security > Phone update on your handset. If not, then simply sign up for the Windows Insider Program from your device, and after the reboot, set your phone to the Fast ring to get access to this preview version.
